We know how difficult it can be to visit a new church and not have any direction, so to help make your visit better, we compiled this list of the most frequently asked questions a guest might have. Where are you located?
We are located at 112 Susman Avenue, Blairgowrie, Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa.
When do I need to arrive?
Worship is usually Sunday mornings at 9:00am – 11:00am in the Auditorium.
Where do I park?
Our main parking lot is around the church, accessible from Bram Fischer Drive through Hunter Street which links to Susman Avenue. Parking is also available in front of the church along Backston Drive. Special needs parking and guest parking is available in this lot. If all parking spaces are full, you may parallel park along the streets surrounding the church.
How do I find my way?
Greeters are stationed at the entrance to the church (8:45am worship service) and there will be signs directing you to the Sanctuary. You may also ask anyone and they will be happy to help you and your family find you way.
What do I wear?
Come comfortably dressed. Some of our attendees wear ‘Sunday Best’, but most wear comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come to worship God and get to know us.
What do I bring?
You can bring your Bible if you have one. While each of our worship services is Bible-based, Bibles are provided on the Sanctuary screen for your convenience. Though we encourage you to bring your Bible with you.
What opportunities are available for my children on Sunday mornings?
Grace House Family Church has excellent programs for children on Sundays and throughout the year including Nursery and Children’s Church.
Where do I take my children on Sunday and how do you ensure the safety of my child?
Our nursery is located in the Children Building Child security is taken very seriously at Grace House Family Church. Our nursery is staffed by a member of our staff and volunteers. Everyone working with nursery age, children and youth is require to go through our Safe Training, which includes training sessions and a background check. Also, all nursery parents are given a restaurant style pager in case they are needed while their child is in the nursery.
Do I have to be a member of GHFC in order for my children to participate in the youth and children events?
Nope. Any child or youth who is interested in hanging out with us are welcome! We have lots of children and youth who participate in our different activities but attend worship services with a different church family. Not every church has a youth program, and we are thrilled to include any youth who are interested in good fellowship and fun activities.
What opportunities are available for me in addition to Sunday morning worship?
We have a variety of programs and ministries for all ages. Click on the links below to learn more about your areas of interest.
What type of fellowship opportunities does your church offer?
Too many to count really — but we’ll try to name a few. We have the Elite, Hand Of Grace, Business Forum and Chukwuma Ozabor Ministries (COM). These are fellowships you can be part of and we also gather to celebrate seasonal events, breakfasts, musical performances, youth events, seminars and internal conferences, etc. Read through out website announcements and see our upcoming events — and JOIN US!.
Does GHFC participate in Mission Activities?
Yes! We have different mission we accomplish each year – sometimes it’s a matter of going down the road to help with local needs in different communities. Each year is different, but we have an active outreach program in place here at GHFC. To mention a few, we have the Street Wise program, Shoe drive, Blanket drive and Perfect Period.
Is the Church Handicap Accessible?
Yes! We have special “right in-front” parking available, making it easy for entering and exiting the building, and our facilities are also handicap accessible throughout.
